Missouri History Museum: Event for Middle School Teachers and Students

Nikole Hannah-Jones is an award-winning New York Times journalist whose provocative 1619 Project marked the 400th anniversary of the beginning of American slavery. The project reframed “the country’s history by placing the consequences of slavery and the contributions of black Americans at the very center of our national narrative.” Currently, we are interested in connecting with middle school students and teachers who have studied the 1619 project. Please let us know if you are interested in learning more about this opportunity that will take place on April 1, 2020, here at the history museum. We welcome your input and look forward to your assistance in shaping this experience. smoldafsky@mohistory.org
